Penang State Christmas Open House |

Penang State Government together with the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM), which comprises the Roman Catholic Church, CCM Churches and NECF Churches will be bringing Christmas cheer to Penangites through the Penang State Christmas Open House 2011. This annual event will be held on Sunday, 18 December, 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm at Shop in D’Park, Autocity, Juru, Seberang Perai.
Various churches from both the Island and mainland will be conveying the message of Christmas through an exciting line up of presentations themed LOVE, PEACE AND JOY TO ALL. Among them would be Cultural dances Sketches and Mimes, Bicycle show, Youth band , Christmas Carols and many more!
Additionally, there will be a Christmas message by the guest of honour for the night, the right honorable YAB Lim Guan Eng followed by the presentation of cheques by the organizing committee to six charitable organizations. This is traditionally carried out to reflect the spirit of giving to those who are less fortunate especially during the Christmas season.
This is the 4th time this event is being organized in participation with the present State government with the first three events being held on Penang Island. As this is the very first time for the mainland, we would like to warmly welcome all Penangites especially those from the mainland to come and enjoy the spirit of Christmas in the tradition of the Malaysian Open House which reflects the multi ethnicity and unity of our nation.
Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. All are welcomed. |

The much anticipated Pesta Pulau Pinang is back! This year it will be held from the 28th of November 2011 all the way into the new year on the 1st January 2012 from 6.00p.m to 11.30pm.
Highlights of the month-long Pesta Pulau Pinang includes free performances by specially local entertainers, an acrobatic group from China and special 3D shows. The popular Euro Fun Park will make a comeback his year with the usual rides such as Vortex, Sky Rider and the Top Gun.

Venue: Penang Botanic Gardens
The Federation of Malaya Orchid Society (FOMOS) in partnership with the Penang Sate Tourism Development and Culture Office is organizing an Orchid Festival which will be held from 3rd Dec till 11th Dec 2011. This event is held to promote Penang as an orchid growing state and educated the public on how to grow orchids.
Over 300 orchids of 35 species which will be on display by experienced and dedicated orchid growers from all over Malaysia. Varieties of orchids and related accessories can also be purchased from the different vendors.

Penang Island Jazz Festival |

Music comes alive once again on the Tropical island of Penang from the 1st to 4th of December 2011!
The initial Penang Island Jazz Festival which began in 2004 has seen a steady growth through the years. From a 2 day/ 1 stage event, this year's 8th edition of the festival will be held over 4 days from the 1st to 4th of December 2011 with performances on 1 Main Stage, 5 Fringe Stages, 1 Sundown Stage and a number of supporting activities.

Allianz Penang Bridge International Marathon Race Pack Collection |

Venue: Queensbay Mall Open Car Park
4 more days to the largest marathon event in Malaysia, the Allianz Penang Bridge International Marathon! Participants from Penang can collect the race packs this weekend, 12 and 13 November 2011 while participants from other states and countries can collect the race packs from 17 November to 19 November 2011. We will be there from 10am to 9pm at Queensbay Mall South zone open car park (near Coffee Bean).
You may check your registration status online now here. Only participants marked as "Active" will be eligible to receive the race packs. Kindly bring along your APBIM official receipt for the collection.
We are also pleased to inform you that APBIM will be providing FREE shuttle buses for participants coming from mainland on the day of the event. The FREE service is available from 11pm (19th of November 2011) to 12pm (20th November 2011) with a 25 minutes interval.
